My BT is 2005 model with combined shower/toilet.
Am wanting to put a mirror in the Waterproof door,
having difficulty find someone who knows how to get
the door apart to do this.
I'm staying in Brisbane at the moment any help in
finding someone would be much appreciated.

Darrell

Hi Darrell,

If you are unable to get what you want, I have had this mirror since 2002. It is polished stainless steel with three suction cups on the back. It has never come off.

Cheers,
Richard.

Hello Darrell,

That door would be put together with Sika-Flex so it did not leak. We custom build the doors with the mirror insert. You can do an option like Brutus has shown, or you would really have to get a new door assembly from us to do it properly as that door would be hard to disassemble to get back together with the mirror insert.

Kind regards, Director, Bushtracker

I used these:

https://www.crazysales.com.au/online-self-adhesive-mirror-tiles-stickers-value-pack-of-40-60703.html?utm_campaign=Bathroom+Accessories&utm_term=MS1515&utm_source=myshopping&utm_medium=cpc&aid=3

I stuck them on the shower door. They work really well and weigh nothing.

Darrell,

We had a local glazier cut a 3mm mirror to near size of the insert section of the rear of the door and then used dobs of MATRIX FC (around the perimeter and across the mirror back at select points) and pressed it into the rear of the opened waterproof door and then held in place by tape until it set.
The only thing is the need to have the door open to use it ……so it’s not open whilst showering. The reasoning is that any moisture would flow to the bottom and potentially leak past the sealing if I had placed it on the front of the door.

I got the strong feeling after carefully looking at the situation, that trying to take the door to pieces will compromise its ability to be waterproof and a strong improbability of getting a mirror glass of the same thickness as the door insert. Steve’s comment above kind of reflect our decision.

It has been there for 3 years without any issue.

Regards,
Dave
