I have just bought a 2019 20’ Bushtracker. The van has 2 * 240V electrical inlets.

The last owner did not know why it had 2 and told me that he had always use one but not the other. There is a label on the 240V circuit breaker box that says “Caution 2 Inlets and Inverter”

Can anyone tell me why there are 2 * inlets?

Someone suggested one was for connection of a generator but I don’t know why it would need a second inlet?.

Are they on opposite sides of van to each other ?

If so .. maybe just the ease of connecting to 240v power ?

Should be no difference between 240v from an Electrical source, pole / generator etc.

One is just behind the other on the drivers side of the van. They are only about 300mm apart.

We pick the van up Friday. There was a bunch of documentation we saw in the van when we inspected it, maybe there is something in there?.

My guess is that it is a dedicated inlet for the air conditioner.
If all else fails ring BT when they are back at work - quote your VIN number and they will be able to tell you exactly what it is for. They are very helpful at BT.

Yes,
One is for the second air conditioning unit if you have two...

There was a time when we had to have two inlets for two air conditioning units as the water heater loaded the one up with one ac inlet and air unit...

Kind regards, Director, Bushtracker

After picking up the van over the weekend we did some tests and it seems that the main inlet powers everything in the van except for the gas/electric hot water heater.

The rear inlet power the hot water but nothing else.

Thanks for everyone’s assistance!
