Does anyone know what this is it is above our fridge in a cupboard

Hi Chris,

Best guess is a Step-up Transformer, possibly an attempt to overcome Voltage Drop.

This is an OmegaLec DC-DC Converter and is used to provide clean power supply for your TV and radio. From the OmegaLec website
"DC-DC Converters are mainly used to convert from one DC voltage level to another, using switchmode technology enables very high efficient voltage conversion with low losses and cool operation.
